I'm Amanda! Nice to meet you!

Since the last time I've updated this page (about 2 and a half years ago, oops!) a little bit has changed. I'm a 20-something software engineer living in Mountain View, California. I spend my days working on a popular parenting website and my evenings doing homework. I'm majoring in Information Sciences & Technology with a concentration in Digital Arts and will be graduating in 54 credits from now.

My interest in web development began in my early childhood. I made my first website when I was 10, a disaster of a site with aqua marquees and animated glittering backgrounds. But from there it grew into a love for semantic and proper code. Because my code started off as standards compliant just about everything I code will validate without a hitch. Over the years I've developed very good habits and am always looking to eliminate any bad ones I may have picked up along the way. Although I'm not classically trained I'm definitely a stickler for the "classics" of web development.

I started programming a bit later. When I was junior high I became majorly addicted to multi-user dungeons and wanted nothing more than to learn how to code them. It's been over a decade and still very much a work in progress.

I hope one day to get a dog.
